Privacy Policy

Bloom & Brisket, LLC (“Bloom & Brisket,” “we,” or “us”), based in Boulder County, Colorado, operates The Chute. This policy explains what information we handle when you use our website, ranch management tools, and connected assistant features.
Information we handle
When you use The Chute, we handle information you provide to run your account and ranch workspace. This can include your email address and account preferences; ranch names and membership details; animal identity, lineage, breeding, health, medication, reminder, contact, and expense records; and animal photos you choose to upload. If you connect an AI assistant, we process the tool requests and the ranch information needed to answer them. Assistant-initiated drafts and confirmed changes may be recorded for audit and security.
How we use information
We use this information to provide and secure The Chute, keep ranch records available to authorized members, process imports and exports, send invitations and requested reminder emails, operate subscriptions, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, and maintain audit records. The public calving calculator can be used without an account.
Service providers and sharing
We use service providers to host the application, store account and ranch data, deliver email, store private animal photos, and process subscription payments. Current providers include Vercel, Supabase, Resend, Cloudflare, and Stripe. They process information to provide their services to The Chute under their own terms and privacy practices. Payment card details are handled by Stripe; The Chute does not store full card numbers.
AI assistant connections
If you connect The Chute to an AI assistant, your requests and the specific ranch data needed for a requested tool may be sent to that assistant provider. The assistant connection uses your account authorization and ranch permissions. Review the assistant provider’s privacy terms as well. The Chute does not authorize an assistant to access a ranch beyond the permissions attached to your account.
Ranch access and security
Ranch owners can invite members and assign roles. Those members can see information permitted by their role. Database access rules and server-side checks are used to restrict ranch data to authorized members. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so use a strong, unique password and invite only people you trust.
Retention and your choices
After we verify an account deletion request, we plan to delete the requesting member’s account and personal account information within 30 days. Shared ranch records remain available to other authorized members and are not deleted just because one member leaves. When a ranch has no remaining members, its records are scheduled for deletion within 30 days after the verified deletion request, except information we must retain for legal, accounting, security, or dispute-resolution purposes. Some audit and billing records may need to be retained. Backups and provider systems may retain copies for a limited period under their normal deletion cycles. You can edit or remove many records in the app, export ranch records, manage reminder emails in Settings, and cancel a subscription in billing settings. To request account deletion or exercise a privacy choice, contact chute.support@bloomandbrisket.com. We will verify the request and explain any information we must retain.
Cookies and diagnostics
The Chute uses browser storage and cookies needed for sign-in, security, and your saved language preference. We also use Vercel Analytics to understand basic website usage and reliability. We do not use ranch record contents for advertising, and we do not sell personal information.
Children and changes
The service is intended for adults managing ranch operations and is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the service changes. We will update the effective date and provide notice in the service when a change materially affects how information is handled.
